3 Incredible Home Hacks For Spring Cleaning

Clean smarter this spring

As a family-run business, we know spending time with the people who matter most in your life is a top priority. That's why we are always on the hunt for little ways to make your life a bit easier.

No one likes cleaning, but the task must be done. Check out these brilliant spring-cleaning tricks for your home. All of them are simple and natural. You already have what you need in your house, promise!

1. Remove garbage odors from your garbage disposal

It’s no secret that, after a while, garbage disposals can royally stink. Get rid of that disgusting smell by mixing a half cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar with hot water. Once this special potion is made, pour it down the drain. Within minutes you’ll be able to breathe easy again.

2. Clean pesky pet hair with a handy rubber glove

Removing pet hair from furniture and carpets can feel like an impossible task. Not anymore! Grab a pair of rubber gloves (traditionally used for kitchen cleaning or dishwashing) and give your furniture a nice rub down. Conveniently, the pet hair will stick to the rubber and make it oh-so-much easier to take off the surface.

Once the pet hair stuck the rubber gloves, stick the gloves under water. The hair can then be easily gathered and tossed in the trash.

3. Make your microwave sparkle—no scrubbing necessary

Take equal amounts vinegar and water, pour into a microwave-safe bowl, and plop in your microwave. Momtastic suggests adding a small wooden object—like a toothpick or chopstick—to your vinegar and water mixture to prevent it from boiling (who knew!). Next, microwave the mix for 5-10 minutes to let your machine enjoy a steam cleaning. Once it’s done, wipe the surfaces clean with a cloth.

Enjoy the power of vinegar!
